In Due Time: It's All "Working Out"

I'm super excited, because I am now becoming the health and fitness entrepreneur I want to be. I have had two successful cardio-kickboxing group classes and will continue to do them throughout the summer. I also am now a representative of the company Juice Plus, in which many of my family members have benefited from. They even have vitamins for kids. My website with Juice Plus is www.nofatjustfit.com. Check it out and feel free to ask me any questions. I have ordered my business cards and decals for my car in order to advertise. I'll be able to sell a product that I also use to better my health. You can't get better than that.

It's nice to see that my goals of incorporating more exercise are coming into fruition. Overall need to do more though. Without me practicing for and teaching the workout classes, I really don't work out on my own. At least I did sign up
up to play basketball at the YMCA this summer. My first game is tomorrow, so we will see how that goes. I hope to incorporate running twice a week on my own and a swimming session at least once a week. I have a great neighborhood to exercise on my own outdoors, but I still haven't done it. After the July 4th holiday, that will be my mission. It is totally possible, I just need to set aside the time and get it done! Wish me luck!

Figuring Out My Next Big Goal

My baby girl was born two months ago and I am back working. It is a blessing and a curse having to leave Mya each day. Overall, things have worked out well after having my child where I will work through the end of September and will be starting back at school in August. Each day I have to renew my confidence in being a mother in order to make sure my daughter I am putting my best foot forward. When I go back to school, I have to make sure I am putting my best foot forward as a student and midshipman of the NROTC Program, too. The thought of wearing so many hats is overwhelming, but the fact that I have all of these opportunities is gratifying. In order for me to perform at my best as a student, I will have to plan out a daily schedule for myself that includes times that I will be able to study in-between classes. I must make sure that childcare is taken of for not only when I am in classes and work, but also during dedicated times for me to study. As a midshipman, I will have to train myself to me a better leader in front of large groups, because I already feel comfortable in one-on-one settings. As I am writing, I think I have come up with what my next big goal is. It will be to get back in-shape. The NROTC Program has its' own requirements for me when it comes to physical ability in running a 1.5 mile, sit-ups and push-ups in two minutes, but I want to workout for a bigger cause. I believe that exercising on a regular basis will benefit more than my physical body. I thinking that working out is what I am missing right now mentally and spiritually, even. I have a feeling that my focus towards positive-thinking and getting to a more confident me, is only going to solidify once I incorporate exercise back into my life. I used to workout just enough to pass the Navy requirements with decent scores, but I that level of mediocrity is not sufficient for the level of success that I am ready to have in my life. I am not quite sure of all of the specific benefits that exercise will have on my life, but I feel something deep inside telling me that this should be my new goal for life.

I watched this video during my entire lunch break yesterday. It is a good thing that I brought my lunch, because it is a lengthy video, but for a good reason. Lisa Nichols packs in some great words to live by. She may become my new "sermon" when I don't make it to church. Please watch. : ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5jQti3W5Zs

Please feel free to comment and ask questions. Thanks!

Why I Write

I have got to start off by saying that I have the best baby girl in the whole wide world! She's so happy and content all of the time. I was given a diary to write in by my sister a couple of weeks before my daughter was born. The diary is in a pretty, pink/blush color and silver/white words that read "Believe in the beauty of your dreams" in nice script. I finally started writing in it about a month after I had my daughter. I wish I had wrote in it earlier so I could look back at what I had to say about motherhood hours and days after giving birth. It is now almost two months since she was born so at least it's not like ten years later.

Now that I am not a student for the first time since grade school, I have been able to put my full effort toward my new title as a mother. Yes, indeed it is the best title that I have ever had and ever will have, especially for such a wonderful child. Last month I had more time at home and did not have a busy schedule of getting to class or work, so I started writing in my diary.

I have decided to keep on writing in this blog to get more positive thoughts flowing into my life, and hopefully my positive thoughts will encourage others to bring more positive thoughts into their life. I can complain about all of the ups and downs going on from day to day, but I would rather focus of the ups. The more I focus on the good in my life, the less power I give to the bad things in my life. You can look forward to reflections on bad times in my life, but I will only follow mentioning of those times with the lesson learned and how I have my mind set up to turn the negative into a positive. Ultimately, you can look forward to motivating words that I use in my daily life to promote progress in my personal, spiritual, professional, and financial life. This blog is all about promoting positive self-talk.

About Me

PHAREN BARRON

I have made the decision to always focus on becoming the best version of myself. I am 23 years old working on my undergraduate degree while being a mother, trying to stay in shape, and keeping a a few jobs here and there. My short-term goal is to graduate and become a Naval Officer through the ROTC Program. I am set to graduate in Spring 2017. My long-term goal is to become a millionaire by 30 through entrepreneurship and investments, and start a new career, outside of the military, using my science degree at 30. To have a healthy and happy child and partnership with my significant other is a part of my short and long term goals combined.

For all the things I want to accomplish in my life, I have to work on NOT speaking myself out of my dreams and blessings, in order for them to come to fruition. The only way to make my dreams into realities, is to continue to speak life into my dreams. Faith without work does no good. I will NOT let negativity attack my mind, and I will renew my mind, body, and spirit daily. God is a continues source of love and strength that keeps flowing, I just have to make an effort to be in tune with Him and all things will work out better than I can even dream.
